This rock juts out above the ridge on Mount Shasta in California. Perfectly blue skies formed an undeniable image for me to capture the portrait of what is, in reality, just a bunch of rock. I love rocks.

Have you ever seen a subtle Dahlia? I know I haven't! Amazing blooms, these were about 10-12 inches across!

These are called Hollyhocks, I'm told. All I know is this beauty was about TEN FEET TALL! I couldn't take a picture of his face without a ladder!
I don't really know what it is about roses... I try to photograph them well, and I've taken hundreds of photos... but they always seem to be so eager to be photographed that they seem to 'leap' out into the photograph and end up oversaturated or something. The buds are probably the most appealing, but this guy in full bloom would not be denied! This little bloom thinks the sun rises and sets for him. I didn't disavow him of his delusions, I just took the photo and went on my way.
