Mount Rainier, a Sunrise, fog in the valley, a Lenticular cloud, AND an atmospheric phenomenon called, of all things, a "SunDog". What a morning...
Sunrise pic for the Christmas Season!
Aurora Borealis over Seattle, Washington
Mount Rainier with a rainbow above, called a "SunDog". Inelegant name for such a beautiful phenomenon...
A small portion of Ranger Falls, about a mile up the trail on the way to Green Lake in Mount Rainier National Park.
Pink Cherry blossoms carpet the ground littered with Pine Cones... it was just such an odd sight that I HAD to get a couple of shots of it... or, well, a dozen shots or so...
A tiny, almost hidden spring in the woods near Shasta Springs, California.
There are supposed to be nature spirits, Faeries if you will, who hang around waterfalls. This scene looked so magical I expected on to show up in the photo... maybe next time!
This rock juts out above the ridge on Mount Shasta in California. Perfectly blue skies formed an undeniable image for me to capture the portrait of what is, in reality, just a bunch of rock.
I love rocks.
Rays of light shining through the high clouds...
You can really see the Rays of Light shining out from around these clouds in this one. Truly a magic afternoon.
An Eagle with fire streaking from it's talons? Vapor trails of the Angels? A vertical view of them over Rose Hill, near Kirkland, Washington.
Lady in a Formal Dress, image captured at Shasta Springs in August, 2003. I think I recognize that dress.
The Sun was rising the fog was just starting to form... what a glorious way to start the morning...
Sunrise over Maple Valley, Washington. These really are the colors captured by the camera, not a sepia tone or something... Another day I was almost late for an appointment because I was working with the camera.
Downtown Seattle as seen from the beach at Alki Point. I still marvel at how crisp the air was that day!
Looking over the rooftop of a building at the Puyallup fairgrounds, a gondola is outlined by the sunset sky. Imagine the view from inside!
A wider view of the sunset with Rays of Light reaching out into the sky.
Steilacoom's Ferry is one of the smaller in the Washington State fleet; just a dozen cars or so will fit. It's hard to describe how much I wanted it to continue on it's original course to the right... But I suppose it needed to get to its dock...
Lonely tree... out in a field by itself, watching the Sunset with me. Just east of Tukwilla, Washington.
I still don't know what those white ones are called... but planted with the Croci, they provide a perfect counterpoint! (UPDATE: I'm reliably informed that these are called 'Asylum'... Thanks, Joy!!)
